Over the years I have chatted with many of your groups about the issues and difficulties around recruiting new, fresh volunteers to help in all aspects of your projects – whether it be more hands on the ground, committee members, grant writers, website or social media gurus. There is often a sentiment that groups are hungry to attract more young people to their work and to spread out the load more evenly between current and new volunteer members.
And it is because of this feedback that we have developed some training in the recruitment and retention area called Grow your group!
This two part workshop series is aimed to give your group some practical skills to work towards the prospect of attracting and mentoring new volunteers and how best to distribute work among your members. Please see the link above for more details and to register. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support and enhance your groups resilience into the future.
Please call me if you have any questions about it.
