Friends of Waite Conservation Reserve Inc.

On the foothills behind Waite Campus, Urrbrae, the University of Adelaide's 121 ha Waite Conservation Reserve conserves an important remnant of Nationally endangered Grey Box Grassy Woodland with over 200 native plant species. It provides an accessible and tranquil environment for bushwalking and enjoying nature only 6km from the city centre. The Friends group welcomes new members to help restore this beautiful patch of bushland.

Friends of Woorabinda

This group helps to preserve for the community a a unique Council owned area of bushland and wetlands, of high conservation significance – known as Woorabinda Bushland Reserves . ( The area was previously known as Stirling Linear Park, but renamed a more appropriate name, by Council, in 2014)

Friends activities include bushcare, weed control, revegetation, reserve publicity, and biodiversity monitoring.
